April 19 the Gallop Poll released their annual survey results for well being. Nineteen out of 124 countries were rated as "thriving" and the people projected that they would be "thriving" and happy five years later. These countries were mostly in Europe and the Americas.

Seventy-two percent of people in Denmark rated themselves as "thriving" for the country with the highest well being happiness and thriving. Sweden and Canada ranked second with 69% rating their life as thriving. The other possible rankings that they could chose was "struggling" and the lowest ranking was "suffering". Australia ranked 3rd with 65% as thriving. New Zealand ranked 7th with 63% ranked thriving. The USA ranked 11th with 59% reporting thriving. Britain ranked 16th with 54% ranking their lives as thriving.

Chad reported the least number of people who ranked their lives as "thriving" at 1 %. There was little change from the 2009 survey.
