The link below is a photo gallery that has several photos of people, some of them bisexual, wearing this company's (whodoyoudo.com) kinsey t-shirt design. The novelty is that you can mark your own answer and even add additional artwork.

The Gallery:

I apologize if this comes off as spam. I saw it and thought some people might be interested in just seeing the pics, others maybe even want a shirt. The link below is to their website for shopping:

A while back there was talk about Kinsey jerseys with numbers, and as I recall there was lots of interest, so this certainly doesn't seem like spam to me. Thanks for the link - and it's nice to see so many bisexuals on the photo page, too.

Thanks glantern954,

I had a quick look and will now be the proud owner of a hopefully tight fitting t-shirt. I particularly like the photo on page 2 of the girl with her different ratings based on Before, During and After !!!!

Thanks for the heads up...

ok this is either good luck or good bi-friends at work for me. i was at the gay olympic games held recently in chicago and spotted several of these whodoyoudo shirts. i mentioned that i wanted to order these for our college student activities team this fall, but forgot about it until this morning i was sent the link here. thank you glantern and shannon my galpal for doing excellent bi-research and bi-reporting!

[the group i saw at gay games had their numbers marked and their shirts/messages/designs complimented one another - played off one other in a humorous way. since i don't remember their shirt markings, if anyone has info on this would appreciate. wish the group had submitted a picture on that photo site.]

i believe mine will be boldly marked in the middle right between my breasts - exactly where i like attention! :female: :bipride:

I don't really go by the Kinsey scale because it just measures past sexual behaviour, not desire. I have been all over it, and I have found that most people rate themselves too low. For example if you are a "1" on the scale you only would have had sex (even sex acts like mutual j/o between men) with a member of the same gender while drunk, or if you were curious and it was a one time thing. I also think that the scale is out dated in today's fluid sexual society.

I have been up and down the scale at different times of my life or with different people, and I don't feel that it's a good indicator of who I am. I tend to think of me as "me", not as "gay" or "straight" or "bi".

I use "bi" as a social label; but I don't think that it reflects my sexuality, as I do not see gender or sexuality in static binary terms. Most people do not get it when I say I'm "sexually fluid"; but "queer" and "not straight" cover that.

While I don't have a problem with the Kinsey scale itself when I can change the interpretation to desire instead of experience, i'm not a fan of the "who do you DO" on these. They're really cute shirts and I like the picture of having the whole scale there and being able to write on it. However, if you're measuring who I've DONE, then I'm still a 0.

I'll stick with my Kinsey baseball shirt (I'm the one who posted that link before... I can again fo anyone wants) and leave the number up for interpretation.

Thanks, glad you liked my shirt! I made it at a whodoyoudo.com Kinsey party right before Gay Pride here in Chicago and wore it in the parade! When we pasted the "Bear like us" shop there was a huge cheer when they saw the back of my shirt! Really fun! The front of my shirt has a combined male/female symbol coming off of kinsey number "3". People frequently ask about the shirt and I show them the back (convertabear)...the best is those knowing smiles when someone gets it and you know you have a friend who understands!

diamonddog: i had the same reservations about 'can one number truly reflect past, present, future, thoughts, desires, experiences, etc'. reading your post helped clarify why i originally wanted to have our college campus team use these as icebreaker or to get past the bull-s**t & niceties & beating around the bush of people needing to work together & trust one another immediately.

SO we're having everyone design their shirts beforehand and then at our kickoff mtg describe why they designed (or marked) their shirt their way. knowing our group of characters, we have someone who was married and now very NOT, someone else who IS but both spouses have open arrangement, another is pre-op mtf, and list goes on. i guess my hope is we go beyond numbers or titles or cliches and get below the surface. i'm dying to know what people do and say for themselves and about themselves - especially the ones i've 'known' for years...will be interesting to see how people illustrate their own "sexual fluidity" on the kinsey scale as you so aptly named it. i figure may be a less threatening way to launch into more honest introductions -- everyone's kinsey number & story is valid and their own, like the way you described yourself in your recent post (plus everytime we've tried the 'share your myers briggs or glbt letters with the group' the conversation either gets kinda clique-ish or just plain confusing).

any thoughts? ideas? suggestions? thanks.

Yeah, I find the scale rather skewed myself. There are way too many intangible factors it ignores.

Pretty much where I'm at. I have lots of potential to go either way, it really boils down to how I feel on a given day. I consider myself extremely sexually fluid, almost to the point of annoying myself ;) I mean, like you I don't really like to label myself. Titles, bah. They're for the masses. I'm me.

ditto here (me on any given day...or week...or that time of the month maybe??).

so seems like none of us like to be labeled. yet for me who hates small talk and desperately wants to meet other 'right' people, i'm hoping it comes in handy in a crowd, club, that next time i make eye contact with that person across the room. heck, i'll take anything at this point to help get a conversation going, after my track record of 'missed' opportunities. if a silly number or title helps jumpstart my awkward 'hi i'm xxxx...are you?', then i have a fighting chance to move on to the real "i'm me" part, as you've mentioned. ;)
