I noticed most any social media site like Yahoo, Paltalk, AIM, Facebook and other sites, There is no decent search, most all them you have to know the exact name or email of the person ur are searching, and can not do a mile radius of a zip and be able to scroll thru the results and be able to recognize a name of a person you might have known yrs ago and not remembered the name. A Lot of sites have such vague search, like this here, can search entire state is all, and have to scroll thru the entire states results to find any one who might b even close. I just wonder why sites omit this type of search and makes it so difficult to search for people .

If you click on personal ads, they do show the members by distance from yourself, but probably only those with an active ad up

Click the 'Personal Ads' tab at the top of the home page. Scroll down a bit and you will see a map. Drag the location pin to your approximate location. Enlarge the map and set the pin within a few miles of your location. Then select kilometers or miles as your default unit, then click search. You will get a list of the nearest members to you ! Many members choose to not be specific about their location and list themselves as in "other location" of a particular state. Of course, if a member has not made use of the map to place their locator pin near their true location, then they will not show up in your search as being near you even though they could be your next door neighbors LOL

but all show 37.6 KM, and no where near right, That is because when making a profile, adding a zip is optional and not a required field so makes the search about useless
