Blackberry Texting.....

I love my blackberry text messaging :-) Especially since Im deaf and can't use a cell phone anyway.

But I wanted to ask if anyone that has a blackberry.... can you text someone that doesn't live in the same country??
I tried to text a friend in New Zealand but it wouldn't let me...... any ideas what I can do? :-) (She uses a regluar cell phone... but Ive texted people on cellphones before and it worked... but then those people are in canada)

I have had a blackberry for years and love it. I would get with your blackberry provider and see what coverage they have. I believe Canada is part of the basic coverage since blackberry is a Canadian company. I am putting a link below for Cingular to show their coverage. I am sure others with respond with more technical data and information.

I really wish that I could help you but this time you got me on something that I don't have so I'm not really sure how I could help you but I'd still check with the company that you use and find out the coverage area cause that might help you out the most.

Have them check with their carrier ... you should be able to email them at something like 1234789098@vtext.com which is for verizon .... then you will be able to text them and they would have to do the same back to you. Hope this helps
