it's common practice in these type parties to charge the men more than the women.. the old out moded idea that most men make way more than many women seems to be the stated reason why.. tho in this day and age, that gap has closed considerably in many places. plus ususally swing parties are by invitation only exclusive. and these things COST to throw if done properly. so, 'tiger throwing an open invitation out there like this is pretty unusual. what i don't understand is the violent reaction to your question.

I've heard how swinger parties/swinger culture and the sex parties/orgies that go on exclude men and the fact that it costs more for a guy to go than a woman just proves this point and this is a reason why I avoid such parties and people like this as it's not my scene.

I don't get that sort of thinking.

But again I don't NEED women around at all in order to have sex with a man (I've noticed that some bi men do but I'm not one of them), and I do actually prefer an all queer male sexual space in some ways to one that's mixed or one where I'd be with a woman only as hetero sex alone is my last choice of sex.

Some thoughts on party organizing from one who did it years ago:

About 8 years ago I was one of three people involved in putting together mixed-gender bisexual play parties in downtown Toronto. One of the most important things, almost more important than the party itself, was to talk to interested single men before the party, get to know about them, and explain to them that they were not guaranteed entry into the party unless the gender mix was pretty much equal. The first couple of parties I attended years ago were much more slanted towards men (even if many didn't want to play with women, the fact that there was more than a 75/25% split was intimidating to women who attended).

Whether a cover for single men is $5, $15 or $50 won't stop some guys from attending that might not be what you're looking for. The cover for parties I co-organized wasn't any different for men than women, and was tied into the cost of the room, so it was totally non-profit (and legal, for at the time anything deemed as profit would be equivalent to operating a "bawdy house").

Its fair game, I guess. Pull up to certain (straight) London niteclubs as a single guy or group of males, and they've been known to turn you away. Just because you're male. But if a guy turns up with a whole bunch of women, or if you're a group of single females, then you're almost guaranteed entry.

I guess its their way of equalling things out, as another member said.

However, at a "bisexual" event, the same unbalance should be less likely to occur... UNLESS it is frequented more by STRAIGHT men looking to hook up with Bisexual females.

But either way, a party is a party, IMO... and if you organize it, you can charge whatever you want.

To demand 'equality' in this context is to deliberately avert one's eyes from the obvious. Check your local paper and compare the number of female escorts-for-pay to the number of males.
