Hey all,

I was thinking about having a get together from the forum on here, this is currently in the planning phase but I would love to see who is interested in possibly having a bisexual.com get together for camping and climbing in the pacific northwest. I am currently thinking of this happening within the next year.

Seattle as you guys know is close to two great mountain ranges, The Cascades, and The Olympic Mountains. This region is hiker, biker, and climber friendly with all sorts of things to do. Mainly I was hoping to see who here on this site are avid climbers and want to go on an expedition, It would be a week long event or however long you can stay in Seattle.

Also this could be a winter or summer event depending on what types of activities you want. Seattle is also close to two great skiing resorts. Stevens Pass and Summit at Snoqualmi for skiers and snowboarders.

Anybody who is interested in a get together in the pacific northwest feel free to mention you'd like to be included. I can definitely start working out any kinks and be a base of operations here.

Would love to see a good response.
Cheers! Forbidden Window.

I think it's a cool idea, just wish I lived on the west coast. I hope you get to have it and everyone gets to know each other, have fun and explore.

I'll be the third to chime in from the Land of the Mouse. It sounds like fun, but since we live in a place where the highest thing to climb is a sand dune, mountain climbing is out for me. Hiking, however, sounds like loads of fun!

Hey FW, I'm in the Portland, Oregon area so it's feasible for me. I'd be more interested in a camping expedition but sounds like you're looking more for a climbing expedition; hopefully we could combine the two into one expedition/experience. Over the course of the next few days as, hopefully, this thread gets more responses from those in the Pacific North West region showing interest and inclination this could be an incredible opportunity for members of this site, from this region, to meet and greet in a beautiful way. The Pacific North West way. Up in the mountains, in the Old Growth forests. Awesome potential! I will eagerly watch this thread over the next few days to see what becomes of this thread. Great idea FW!!!!!

Damn! That sounds like fun, and I'm in the area (Olympic Peninsula), but this idea comes about thirty years too late for me.

So I've had a mixed response of yes's and no's, It seems like people who live on the west coast will be more apt to joining. So far I have 2 people interested and a possible third.

Tentative yes:

I would like to if I can find the time and money, I just did a rough estimate on distance, and I'd have to figure for $575 just for gas round trip, plus 2-4 hotel stays on the road. Not so much cheaper to drive than to fly anymore...

If you decide to book tix, airlines are cheaper if you know what to look for. I've seen tickets go as low as $250. Use expedia or travel-velocity to find cheep hotels in this area. Airlines in this region are as follows.

Alaska/Horizon - Main airline
Southwest airlines
Northwest, (not cheap - would be cheaper if you were flying around the Midwest but hey)

I recommend, Bellevue, Redmond, and Kirkland for hotels. Look to the east side since I think it would be more convenient for everybody. For those of you who wish to stay in Redmond, There is a Mariot where the prez stayed on a campaign tour... Security gridlocked Redmond LoL...but yea.

I myself do not have a car. I can just help coordinate. :compuser:

I wish to know everybody's availiablity for best travel times this year. Hopefully we can all agree upon something, I dont want anybody left out!

Cheers!:bounce:
