She did come into the chatroom one night a week or so ago as I recall--it is something she has been running dark of late---perhaps she got tired of the BS going on in some of the threads---or just busy or simply taking a needed break from the site--I do that from time to time myself----

Good to know she is fine and all that, she's fun and one of my first ppl that i encountered... Although i do have diffiiculty with franspeak.

y'know,
Franspeak may well be the second well derivative of English I love. I've never heard the english language so beautifully sounding as by the (heavily Galic influenced) Irish... followed by the Scots. To see/read Fran type as she speaks... is wonderful.
I remember one old movie... 'Joint Venture'... where this one Irish girl says her boyfriend so "stooopid"...
Oh good Lord. Would I be so lucky as to ever hear that sound applied to me... she could call me "stooopid" for the rest of my life and I would die a happy man. I don't know that I've heard a more beautiful human sound in my life.
Yet I digress....

Peeps hav been kind enuff 2 enquire wtf me has disappeared 2.. always wos gonna take a rest from chat afta new year cos this half year is goin 2 2 very bizzy in me life an very important. Some peeps knew this, Mumsy bein 1. I hav intended 2 post on occasion wen summat gets up me nose, an lots dus as yas all know.. howeva sadly this has proved impossible cos circumstances have just not allowed.

Shortly after new Year Kate's father died, and this has created a huge upset for us all. It isnt that long since she lost her mum, and you can imagine the sadness we all feel. So I have had 2 concentrate on my family and show them all the love and support I have been able. This is my immediate and most important task in life. Apart from Louise we now have to care for Kate's elder daughter and being only 8 you can imagine just how much she must feel losing both of the people who raised her in a period of less than 2 years.

I cant say when I will be back, posting probably not 2 long, chat will take a while longer as it was always going to be. But Im not off forever. I love the people on this site so dearly, but Im sure you will understand that for now I have to concentrate on the 3 people who mean most to me in the world. I will be back, hopefully as tartily and as cheeky as ever. In the meantime until I once again am able to give you all a hard time either in forums or chat, take care, dont tear 2 many lumps of each other and keep this site lively and fun until me gets back!!!!

So glad to hear from you, I too was getting concerned. Sorry to hear about the loss in Kate's family, PLEASE extend our condolences to that sweet one. Take care of you and your family but know that you are most missed and we look forward to your return.

Glad to hear that you're still alive and... reasonably well, Frances. Although I'm so sorry to hear about Kate's father.

I actually thought of you today because my father brought us home a Haggis recently, which we ate this evening (complete with "tatties", although no "neeps" or "wee dram", I'm afraid... and a couple of days late too, I think). It is actually growing on me a bit with each encounter.

Anyway... try and stay well, and best wishes to Kate, et al. We look forward to seeing you again when you rejoin us. :)

I am so glad to hear from you! I was beginning to think my one hard core liberal friend had vanished! I am sorry to hear about the bad news, but I am sure you all will find and share the love and strength you need to overcome this most unfortunate situation. Please know that we are all with you.

Without Darkeyes this site is like Rapunzel without any hair.
This fantasy land needs the sprinkling of magic that Darkeyes uniquely provides. She provides the road map and the means of travel on this site. When she disappears we can't help but shudder at the loss, as if a great chasm has opened in front of us.
