Here's a couple of interesting War of Independence facts.

Paul Revere only made it 20 miles before being capture by the British. Of the two dispatch riders that were sent off to rouse the militias, only one, Isreal Bissel, completed his 300 mile ride.

Out of the 9 engagements that George Washington fought against the British, he only won 3. He was asked to be President because he was popular, not because he was a good general.

The song "Yankee Doodle" was created in Britain as an insult to the Americans. We took it on as our own just to piss them off. (like that's the only time we've done that):eek:

As a Vietnam Vet, there is nothing like the "Stars and Stripes", and what we gave the world. Having been there (war) It's time to get our men and women out of the Middle East. Mr. Bush has it all wrong, just as Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon.

Screw the Twin Towers and all that we have lost. It's over and done with. Nothing can bring it back. To continue is a lost cause. Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afganistan. Bring our kids home safely, and let the folks in their country blow them selfs up.
