It's snowing here and I'm told that the roads are slick. That, combined with the fact that there will be a zillion drunks on the roads makes it sound like a good night for staying home.

We'll watch the ball drop, toast the new year, probably make love, and go to bed.

I have the girls tonight. We are having sponikopita and salad by candlelight. Then we're watching Horton Hears a Who. We'll be toasting the new year with sparkling cherry juice! Last year I let them try champagne. It didn't go over good, so I'll stick with what they are having. :rolleyes:

I am just staying in here--around midnight-many individuals and some of the communities go and set off fireworks out over the water-I plan to try to get some good fireworks pics!

I was a busy bee today doing a photo recon trip today here on St. Simons Island, Georgia--I am on my way to see some friends in Hilton Head tomorrow--then---crap----I have to make my way back up north in a few more days--back into the cold and yuck!!!

If you are going out tonight--PPLEEAASSEEE BE CAREFUL!!

I always called New Year's Eve "Amateur Night" where every fool goes out to get "shit faced" it seems!!!!

If you do go out to party and are drinking--have a designated driver---you don't want to hurt anyone or pick up a DWI/DUI/ or whatever the cops call it where ya are!!

It just simply is not worth it!!!

By all means though---do have fun!!!

Just to rub it in ya'all--I am taking my photos of the fireworks from the beach!! LOL---a pretty cool place to take some pics from---it is cool for real tonight though--I am gonna have to put some long pants on before I head down to the beach!!!

As far as food is concerned--last night we had a gathering--about 15 or so people--I made up a "Low Country Boil" for those who know that is---it was good---I finished up the last of it this evening---and I am just having a few beers---Last night---I had a few Vodka Tonics----then we hit into some "Gentleman Jack"--I don't need to drink too much tonight anyway!!!
