I am planning to ride Route 66 in July-August 2013. I am looking for a riding partner who has 2 weeks plus to spend riding. Delorme Street Atlas says it will be 2590 miles with a lot of secondary roads and some original Route 66 pavement. At an average of 325 miles per day it will take 8 days. I am retired so I am flexible on the start date as long as we start from Grant Park in Chicago on a Sunday morning.
